1. Who we are

Rehangable ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered virtual try-on service at rehangable.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. 2. Data we collect

  • Account data — your email address and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), and your email verification status.
  • Uploaded content — photos of yourself ("model images") and garment/product images you upload or provide a link to, used to generate try-on results.
  • Generated content — the AI-generated try-on images produced from the above, saved to your account so you can review them later.
  • Payment data — subscription and billing details. Card numbers are entered directly into Stripe's interface and are never seen or stored by us — see Section 4.
  • Usage data — IP address, browser/device information, and log data, collected automatically for security and service reliability.
  • Communications — transactional emails we send you (e.g. verification, billing receipts) and any correspondence you send us.

3. How we use your data

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

  • Performance of a contract — to create your account, generate try-on results, and process subscription payments.
  • Legitimate interests — to secure our service, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the accuracy of our AI models.
  • Consent — for non-essential cookies and analytics (see Section 7) and any marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time.
  • Legal obligation — where we are required to retain records, e.g. for tax and accounting purposes.

4. Third parties who process your data

We share the minimum data necessary with the following processors to operate the service:

  • FASHN.ai — receives your uploaded photo and garment image to generate the AI virtual try-on result.
  • Stripe — processes subscription payments and stores your payment method and billing details under its own privacy policy.
  • Brevo — sends transactional emails (account verification, billing notifications) on our behalf.
  • Cloudflare (R2 storage) — hosts the photos, garment images, and generated results you upload.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep your data

We retain your account data, uploaded photos, and generated try-on results for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion of specific images, we will remove them from active storage within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records (e.g. billing records) for longer to meet legal obligations.

6. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate data;
  • Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten");
  • Restrict or object to certain processing;
  • Request a portable copy of your data;
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent; and
  • Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for the site to function (e.g. keeping you signed in), and where you consent via our cookie banner analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) to understand how the site is used. Analytics storage defaults to denied until you accept.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and access controls on our infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy

Rehangable is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
